In my early 20’s I was very drawn to Eastern medicine and their healing modalities. Growing up in the West, I learned very quickly our form of health care looks at you from a biological and chemical perspective. Biological in having bones, skin, and organs; chemical in having blood and hormones to observe and test. But Eastern philosophy of medicine not only looks at us as having a biological and chemical perspective, but also from an energetic perspective. It is their belief that If you are energetically imbalanced, this will disturb the biological and chemical components of the body creating dis-ease and illness.
When I found the modality of Accunect™ back in 2012, I immediately was drawn to this modality because It combined the use of Tapping with Chinese medicine theory.
What is Tapping?
Tapping is a self-applied emotional regulation technique that involves using your fingers to tap on an established sequence of specific acupressure points while verbalizing thoughts, emotions, and feelings in order to release them. Tapping is used to lower stress and anxiety, reduce pain and cravings, and alleviate feelings of depression by acknowledging the thoughts contributing to the discomfort and then shifting the energy away from the negative and toward the positive.
How does tapping work?
Tapping works by sending signals to the parts of the brain (mainly the amygdala and hippocampus) that control stress to release the stress and relax bringing the body back into balance. Tapping is based on the Chinese practices of acupuncture, which teaches that the body’s energy travels along specific pathways, called the Meridians. Through tapping these meridian points on these pathways are stimulates to improve the natural flow of energy.
The Benefits of Tapping
Tapping therapy can be useful for a wide range of issues like stress, worry, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic, OCD, and new and old trauma, and releasing physical pain. Tapping has even been effective in relieving anxiety, stress-related disorders such as PTSD and fibromyalgia, depression, physical pain, addictions, phobias and weigh loss issues and the list goes on…
What is Accunect™ and how does it work?
Accunect™ is a complete energy healing system based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture theory, modern biomedicine and neuroscience, osteopathic theory, tapping techniques and quantum physics theory. It is a system for promoting health and transformation on the physical, mental and spiritual planes. It uses the power and frequency of universal consciousness where instant transformation is possible and where we connect to our true selves.
During an Accunect™ balancing session the practitioner uses muscle checking to find out areas of stress and imbalance. These areas are highlighted using Accunect™ non-invasive techniques and the body’s internal awareness and focus is redirected to those areas. The natural healing response, balance and correct functioning is re-established.
The Accunect™ practitioner finds your unique healing story using the Accunect™ Health Map. The health map brings awareness to the practitioner of the priority of what needs to be balanced at the highest level for mind, body and spirit. Then balancing can take place. The practitioner locates the primary focus of treatment or balancing by using a simple technique called muscle checking. The practitioner develops a unique formula for balancing each client.
